I am absolutely in-love with everything you do! I'm in college for art right now and in the middle of a big project. Seeing all your work is inspiring me more than I have been in a long time. I was wondering what kind of gouache you use?

oh my goodness, that is immensely flattering, thank you so much!! (and good luck on your project, or break a leg, whatevers appropriate)

most of my gouache comes from those sets Reeves have that are less than $20. naturally, they aren’t the highest quality paints, but I like using them for my quickie/personal paintings. my favorite gouache paints have to be the stuff Winsor & Newton have, though. a little pricier, but way better in the quality department.

I’ve been feeling rather crafty lately and have been giving things of the more three-dimensional variety a go. I oughta be done with the building part of this guy sometime this week, and then it’s on to painting!

Fun fact: paper mache smells pretty gross

Benign Kingdom will have a consulate at the Emerald City Comicon this weekend. You may find it at booths F12-F15.
We’ll have Spring 2012 and Fall 2012 individual art books, collections, and prints. We’ll also have a few advanced copies of the Spring 2013 individual art books.

I’ll be here! In Seattle! At these booths! Helpin’ out!
